Layout broken and navigation bar color issue in Android P

My Question or Issue

1. First issue, the app layout can not fit the full screen after I changed "Display size" to "Small" as is shown in the attachment.

2. The color of system navigation bar displays wrong color after upgraded to Android P.

My navbar is also white when using gesture controls in dark mode. It used to be dark a few months ago.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community. We're sorry for the late reply. We just came across this thread.

In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If that doesn't do the trick, can you log in on another device to see if the issue persist?

Reinstalled spotify, still appears white.

It works fine on pixel 5, android 11, and moto g7 with android 10.

Thanks for getting back to us and for the screenshot.

Could you also provide one of how the app gets displayed correctly according to you on your other devices?  Also, could you explain what you mean with "gesture controls"?

The problem went away a bit ago maybe june, but now its back sometime near version 8.6.46.886, on lg g8 android 10, maybe a week ago. It happens also with standard android button controls at the bottom.

This is what is expected for the navbar to be the same color as the spotify bar for home/search/library.
