My Question or Issue

The issue relates to the different playback modes, which I will call linear (L), shuffle (S), and smart shuffle (SmS). The issue seems to occur only with the "Liked Songs" playlist, I tested it with other playlists and they don't seem to be affected.
Note that on android, there is a shuffle button, which normally cycles through the behaviours as follow L -> S -> SmS -> L. If the app was freshly installed this is different: In L mode, the first two times it will ask which shuffle (S or SmS) is requested. A second press reverts back to L.
When I listen to my "Liked Songs" on S mode, it often happens that I remember which song would come on if I played on L. Thus, I press the shuffle button twice to get back to L mode. However, this causes the queue to resume from the first track of the playlist, instead of continuing from the position playback is at.
I was asked by a support worker to perform a fresh install to fix this issue. And it kind of did. The first two times I went into shuffle, I was asked which one (S or SmS) I wanted. Both times, I selected S, and a second press later returned me to L. There, the expected behaviour was fulfilled, the queue was properly sorted and the position was that of "Liked Songs" where I was at. However, then the normal rotation kicked backed in and the expected behaviour was not satisfied anymore, returning from S to L caused the queue to be set to start at the first song of the playlist.
The only difference being that suddenly, I had to move through SmS before getting back to L, has me thinking that this is a problem with Smart Shuffle.
I tried reproducing the error on windows 10 and ipadOS as well.
On Windows 10, there is no smart shuffle (in my version at least, Spotify for Windows (64 bit), 1.2.26.1187.g36b715a1) and so, switching from S to L behaves properly.
On ipadOS (8.8.96.395), I can switch into shuffle, however, I cannot switch away from it, instead, every further press of the shuffle button notifies me that "Smart Recommendations have been added to the Queue".

Hey there @FierceEagle,

Welcome to the Community!

Thank you for the details and for explaining the situation and good job for already trying some troubleshooting steps.

Have you by any chance also tried with another Spotify account on the same devices? It'd be great if you could try with a relative's or a friend's account to see if it works, as there can be an account issue. If the same thing happens there, you can even send us a video showing how things look like from your end, just make sure no sensitive info is visible.

You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. If the attachment is too big - we'd suggest that you upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it) or upload it as unlisted YouTube video.

Hope to hear from you soon.

My Question or Issue

Liked songs automatically shuffles even when selecting a specific song. When disabling shuffle through playing now, the whole list gets added, after the current song in the queue.
