My Question or Issue

I'm having a lot of difficulty syncing local files from my laptop (Windows 10) to my phone. I've done it before once or twice, the last time being in November 2020, however, it does not seem to work. I've adjusted the firewall settings on my laptop (both third-party and desktop itself), logged in and out on both devices, tried adding the local files in question to a playlist to download, redownloaded my entire library on my phone, etc. I found a lot of old guides and topics on this that were outdated, and a website page that has since gone missing, and none of them seem to work or have confusing solutions.

I am also currently a university student using my school network, I have an inkling that this may be a cause or contributing factor since the last time it worked was when I was at home.

The troubleshooting steps you've tried are very good. We'd like to add a few more.

Could you try with another network to see if there are any changes? It's also a good idea to run a clean reinstall with these steps. That way you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.

In case you're using an SD card, you can also try removing the SD card, reinstall Spotify and then try running the app without the SD. Does the issue persist?
