Local files unable to download on my phone

My Question or Issue

I've tried most of the fixes I've seen so far including, uninstalling and redownloading both of my Spotify apps, turning off my firewall, downloading a playlist of my local songs on my phone, and connecting to the same wifi I'm just looking for any solution at this point, thanks.

Just to confirm, can you let us know if you followed the steps in this article?

Note: Since Local Files on mobile have been completely it's no longer necessary/possible to sync files from the desktop app to the phone - instead the audio files need to be stored on the phone itself.

Thank you for replying here.

We're sorry that it didn't work out for you, and so we want to try clarify things a bit if possible. Have you physically copied the actual files from your PC over to your mobile's storage space? 

You basically need to have the files stored on the same device where you'd like them to be streamed through the Spotify app. 

By enabling the Local files discovery setting in your phone's app settings, the available audio files in it should appear in Your Library as a separate playlist entry. This would also mean that, if you have the files stored on your PC, they are discovered only on the desktop app and could be streamed through it alone.
