Massive battery drain with BMW connected

My Issue

Using Spotify Music (ver 8.4.77.779) together with BMW Connected (ver 6.0.0.4962). No updates available for either app.

In some cases I have a massive battey usage by Spotify; 36% ( 1706 mAh) in 4-5 hours, even though Spotify is not actively in use. Battery usage is 2% (76 mAh) for the BMW app.

Seems to happen when I start driving my car (BMW i3s 2018) and Spotify has been used earlier (in standby). If I later switch to Spotify, there is a specific screen with Spotify and BMW logo and an unlock button. Has happened 3-4 times last couple of weeks. Has not occured earlier (which I have noticed)

Sounds like a bug to me! You should repost this into "ongoing issues" as well.  Hope it gets fixed for you!
