Missing Flow

I am testing both deezer and spotify to decide which is the best for me.

I have found a lot of things where the one has a big plus and the other a big minus, in both ways, quite crazy indeed. Anyway ....

One of the things which I like most in spotify are the Stations: I can pick up an artist or  a song, a generes and create "magically" a "playlist" of similar stuffs.

One of the things that I hate most in spotify is that there is no way to do a "global Station" within all the stuff I like and similar. This is what deezer has out of the box under the name "Flow".

Do I miss something? Is there a way to solve this? If now WHY?!?!?!

Please now do not answer me Station ist what I want.

Example: I like EN Music, I am Italian (so I like some italian music), I dance salsa (so I like salsa stuffs) ... all very differen stuffs.

In the deezer Flow I will find EN, IT & salsa stuffs mixed up.

In spotify I can pick up an EN artist and create his station, an IT artist and create his station, a salsa artist and create his station (or do it via generes), but I will anyway end up with 3 separate station each of them playing only one kind of music. I will never be able to mix them ...

Again: do I miss something?

If you create a playlist containing a mix of genres you enjoy, you can then start a radio station based on your playlist from the context menu (three dots to the right of the playlist name or by long touching the name).

I do own most of the music I like. 

If I want to shuffle all my music I do not need a playlist.

I am too lazy to create playlists even for the music I own.

I want to use one streaming service out of 2 reasons:

* I get "the best of the music I like" shuffled without beeing forced to create a playlist

* I get hints of music similar to the one I like which gets shuffled to, without beeing forced to keep the playlist up-to-date

Means if I pay for something, I want something more comfortable than what I could do without paying ... means I do not want to create playlists (or at least I do not want to be forced to create playlists). I want to say which artists / genere I like and I want to be "magically entertained".

Means, from the technical point of view, your solution it is a solution, from the practical point of view not.

What about Flow ? Deezer makes it easily, so why not Spotify ? 

As it was said, Flow is a great « free » experience of learning music, because it’s just a single button to listen to our own kind of music.

So... two resolutions for 2018 ? 

First is Flow, second is Lyrics ?

I have the same problem... I would really recomend Deezer more, I've been using it for years and it is much better. Good luck!

Flow is getting much better the more you listen. Technically, you can do everything with deezer now like Flow, daily artist mixes, 100% songs per artist, artist mix, mood change based on genres, almost all genres are available in deezer unlike Spotify. And the good thing on deezer is that each genre specifically is made just for you. 

I don’t care how big Spotify is, but for me, I think there are so much under Spotify’s home, you need to search for music every time and see what to listen to. Deezer has the lean-back experience which is much better I guess.

Moved to Spotify because I bought a galaxy watch. Unfortunatelly, Deezer's Flow is way better than all solutions Spotify has to offer. Still couldn't cancel Deezer's subscription.

Deezer has Flow, but Spotify has personal Daily Mixes, there's no problem finding music that can be similar to what Deezer offers in Flow. And you can also start the radio from Daily Mixes

Why in 2022 there is no Flow-like feature in Spotify?

One of the big plus of Deeezer flow is the option to dislike titles and artists and the flow gets more and more accurate so you can discover new songs. I'm on Deezer and Spotify (thanks to my GF's familly and because there were an exclusivity on the PS5), if I had to choose the best one, despite the fact Spotify seems to have a bigger library, Deezer provides a better experience. It can change is Spotify introduce something similar to the flow.
