[Mobile][Podcasts] Get Spotify to play the next podcast in line without any user interaction

At the moment I'm experiencing problems when trying to listen to a series a podcast.

I’m using Spotify version 8.7.84.382 on my Samsung A41 phone.

When I am listening to a podcast Spotify can’t automatically start the next podcast in order. It will open the next podcast but it won’t play it. Spotify requires me to swipe back and forth to start the next or previous podcast and then swipe back again to start the one that was originally stuck.

This is not much fun if I'm listening in the car for example.

I've tried making a playlist of the podcasts and then playing that but that doesn't work either.

Perhaps You could make Spotify just play the next podcast in the same manner it manages to play the next track in an albumn.

In order for podcast episodes and songs to play automatically, you'd need to enable Autoplay from your Spotify app settings. If that doesn't fix the issue, there might be some problems with your app's cache.

It's a good idea to run a clean reinstall and clear your cache, following this Guide.
