Mobile app skipping songs/ albums

Solved!

Mobile app skipping songs/ albums

Hi there. In last couple of weeks Spotify keeps skipping and jumping songs within albums and if I've more than one album saved by an artist, spotify randomly shuffles through those too. I never hit Shuffle Play. Updated two days ago and no change. V frustrating. .. please help!

Hey kaboo! Are you sure that you're not clicking in Shuffle Play, or choosing random music skip? ( the symbol is 2 curved arrows crossing each other).

You can also try to uninstall and install the app again!

Which OS do you use?

You know what? I googled for days and trolled for days just to be sure I wasn't asking a really stupid question... turns out I was. Had accidentally hit the lovely swirly shuffle button. Thank you. My life is back on track.

Hi - I'm having the same issue on two different platforms, basically skips though dozens of songs, and then starts playing a random song, but with no audio. First it started happening on my phone while driving but didn't think anything of it. But then, when I tried the app on my FireStick, I got the same issue.. I've uninstalled the app on my phone and on my FireStick, cleared caches and datas, and even reset my Firestick back to factory settings and only redownloaded the Spotify app and literally yelled at the TV when I saw the issue is still ongoing. Anything you can recommend?

Hi there @mdudley,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

To begin with, make sure Smart shuffle is off from your phone. You can check how to do it with this info. If this doesn't help, go here and select the option Sign out everywhere. Once done, you will need to log in again from all of your devices.

If nothing helps, would it be possible for you to send a video/recording of the issue? Also, let us know if this happens from any other devices besides your phone and Firestick. You can try from a different mobile device, a computer and the Web Player

We'll keep an eye out for your reply!
