Thanks for the info @hadnec.
We're unable to provide an ETA for a fix at this time, but rest assured this will remain on our internal teams' radar. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
The Community is always here if something else comes up.
Cheers!
Hey @hadnec,
Sorry to see you've been experiencing this issue 🙂
To start troubleshooting things, we can try removing your cached data to see if that would make a difference.
Another thing to try is removing all Spotify-related data and installing it anew via the steps for a complete clean reinstall.
Keep us posted on how things go!
Not helped
Hey @hadnec,
Thanks for your reply.
Does this happen when playing directly through the phone's speaker or when connected to Bluetooth? Is it possible to try a different internet connection?
Also, make sure you've enabled Offline mode in the app's settings when playing downloaded content and see if the issue still persists.
Keep us posted.
Regardless of the mode. I tried downloading the tracks and listening online, but it didn't solve the problem. I tried deleting them and listening online - it didn’t help. I tried listening from the phone’s speakers offline and via Bluetooth - the problem still exists.
The problem occurs when switching tracks. Also, I recently noticed that there is another way to restore sound - this is to change the volume by 1 point in any direction, in addition to pausing and playing the music again
Hey @hadnec,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
In this case, we'd suggest double-checking if perhaps there is some pending update to the OS system of your mobile device. Additionally, would you mind sharing with us the exact Spotify version you're running there?
On another note, as mentioned by @MihailY, is this happening over WiFi? 3G/4G? Both? Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using? Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Just to confirm, do you use any cache-clearing or task-killing apps? If you do, we'd recommend stopping using it for a while to see if you notice any changes in this behavior. Take into account that these apps can affect the performance of the app.
We'd suggest double-checking the mobile device settings so that you don't have the battery saver option enabled when using Spotify. On some Xiaomi models, you can find the Battery saver option when accessing the app manager on the device's settings. To double-check, go to settings> Apps> Manage apps.
Keep us in the loop!
I don't have any OS updates available. There are no optimization programs. This happens on any Internet, and even offline. Earlier versions of Spotify did not have this problem. MiUi optimization is also disabled.
Version of Spotify 8.8.92.700
Hey @hadnec,
Thanks for the reply and for all the info shared.
It seems there's a new update available for the Spotify app. Would you double-check on the Play Store to see if you can update the app? Give it a try and let us know how it goes. After updating the app, let us know if this behavior persists.
If that doesn't do the trick, we'd like to check: do you use a VPN on your mobile device? If yes, try disabling it to see if that makes any difference. Keep in mind Spotify doesn't officially support VPN. This means that issues with the app while using VPN are expected behavior.
Lastly, and just to confirm, is there an external SD card installed on your device? If so, remove it and reinstall the app in the internal memory of your device. Make sure to use the app without inserting the SD card again.
We'll be on the lookout!
Updating the app didn't help. Vpn is not used and cannot be the cause of anything because the problem is even in offline mode. There is no slot for an SD card and, accordingly, it cannot be installed.
Hey @hadnec,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
Would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version you're running as per today?
On another note, would you mind checking if you can replicate this behavior on a different mobile device? You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account there and check.
If possible, it'd be awesome if you could open a different account on the affected device to see if this behavior continues. You can ask for the account of a relative or a friend to open it on your mobile device.
It'd be great if you sent us a short video recording of what's happening, so we can better visualize what you're mentioning. You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can watch it.
Keep us in the loop!
The current version of Spotify is 8.8.94.577. Here is the video, but the recording does not quite correspond to what actually happened. At the moment when I switched to the track "closer!" then I stopped hearing the outgoing sound until I rewinded the track. But I can hear everything on the recording. I think these are some kind of conflicts between the application and my personal phone, moreover, specifically the new versions of Spotify. Because before that, on the same versions of my phone’s firmware there were no problems and they started precisely when I updated the application to the current version, which one was specific to - I don’t know. I can only say that this was a version where the settings had to be called up through the gear on the main screen at the top right.
I even tried Spotify 8.8.74.652 right now,and there are problem to. Previously i use even older versions, but i can't find it.Maybe older than June 2023 version.
Thanks for the info @hadnec.

With the latest Spotify updates, the problem has been resolved. Thank you.
Got the same exact problem on my Poco F4 GT, even with the last version of Spotify (8.9.84.594)
I have this problem for months. For example when the next song starts to play, there is sometimes no sound. When you paus the song and start it again, it happens, and when you Rewind it a few seconds. It starts again.
It happens with different wifi and 5g networks. Doesnt matter how good the wifi is. I already tried al the "solutions" above. Is there some kind of big?
