Music video feature disappeared (Android)

Music video feature disappeared (Android)

Plan: Premium

Country: South Africa

Device: Samsung Galaxy A24

Operating System: Android 14

My Question or Issue: Why have I suddenly lost the music video feature?? According to Google and your site it should still be available, with an expanding library, even!

I watched videos on my older version of the app and then they disappeared; I tried updating to the latest version of the app but still the videos are missing - I even went looking for specific songs I'd watched the videos of, recently, but NOTHING... :'(

Hey there, @DarkXn,

Thanks for reaching out!

Have you tried logging out and signing back in to your account twice in a row? This will force a resync of the app which may help here. It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app, if you haven't already.

Something else you can do is check if you still have videos on another device (a friend's or a relative's would do) or on the desktop Web Player. If you're using a VPN, I'd recommend disabling it.

Should the issue persist, please share a link to one of the affected songs along with a screenshot which captures how things look on your end so we can investigate further.

Let us know how it goes 👍

Thank you for your reply! 🙂

I wasn't using a VPN or anything and no reinstall needed (thank goodness, because I have like 10GB of downloads and another 10GB cached) - I think it must have been a temporary glitch - maybe the video servers were down or under maintenance... Strange that it wasn't announced anywhere but, at any rate, the video buttons are now back, after 24 hours or so (since I noticed them being gone - not sure exactly when they actually disappeared, though).
