My Now Playing screen looks different suddenly after update

My Question or Issue

After a recent update about 2 days ago, the Spotify in my car android system looks different.  Everything else feels the same.  Just the Now Playing Screen looks bad.  Album Art been enlarged to fit the width of the screen, I can't find the option to show lyrics anymore.  All the buttons still works, but the shrink screen option on bottom right don't seem to do anything.   I want back the usual now playing screen.

Also, can there be an option to keep lyrics on for every songs? Now have to swipe it on every song.

I have the slight feeling that there won't be much we can currently do here.
What we could try though is reinstalling the app on your Android box. Should this not change anything, let us know and we'll take a further look at what can be done 🙂

Hi @Vasil,

    I did that the next day.  Even went a step further to reset the box to factory default.  It still the same.   I just seem like when in that screen, it detect my screen resolution or rotation wrongly.  Or in a full screen mode that I never seen before.  Cos I never seen those play/back/next buttons in the center of the screen before, in the middle of the album art too.  Hope next update will get sorted out.

I have the exact same problem. Spotify became unusable. I can't even change if I want to use random songs or the next song etc. I think this is a bug.

So after months there is still solution to this?  The artwork now display indeed become more proportional but still I can't pull up the lyrics.  It kind of like a podcast play screen.

I had to install an old Spotify file to get back the proper play screen that can easily pull up the lyrics.
