I use Samsung and google messages. Have always had this issue.

As @Joan asked in the original thread - does the link format affect the outcome? Did these workarounds linked by @AlejaR work for you?

Thanks for getting back to us,
the linked thread is a place where users have discussed a similar issue and have looked into possible solutions. Namely @kalepetals and @lowpolybrain have posted workarounds which you can try.
Does the same thing happen when linking through other social media as well? If yes, then tell us which ones, we would like to look further into this.

Just to confirm, you've allowed Automatic previews, right? The option can be accessed via the Google Messages app by tapping your profile icon in the top right corner > Settings.
I see that you're using RCS messages. Could you try toggling the feature off (the option is also found in Google Messages' settings) to see if that does the trick?

As the previous settings didn't work for you, then it's possible that there's an issue with your individual set-up so in this case it's best to get in touch with Google's support for further help.
