My shuffle is queuing the same song twice in a row

My shuffle is queuing the same song twice in a row

I have a playlist on shuffle, not on repeat or anything, the playlist contains only one copy of each song inside (ie songs are not in the playlist more than once). The queue generated
(please note, this is the queue generated, not a queue I have made by using the 'add to queue feature') from the playlist in shuffle has songs repeated in it, not every song is repeated, and it is not consistent with songs between repeated songs. With the songs represented by letters, my current next from queue looks like A(Currently Playing Song) ABCCDDEFGHIJKLMNNOPQRSSTUVWWXXYYZZ. I am on version 8.8.22.510, which I updated to last night, prior to this update I had not noticed this issue.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

 

Could you try to log out > restart your device > log back in to see if that makes any difference for you?
 

It's also a good idea to try clearing your cache to remove any old files that might be interfering with the app's performance. 

 

In case the issue persists, could you ask a friend or a family member to log in on your device and test this out to see if the app behaves the same way?

 

We'll be keeping a eye out for your update.

My Question or Issue

My playlist has 880 songs yet for the past couple days the shuffle has been limited to 15 songs.  Even the Queue just shows the 15 repeat in the same order.  What is the point of building a playlist if you won't actually play all of it?

Does this occur only when shuffling the playlist? Does it occur with that playlist in particular or with all playlists in general? If you're able to consistently reproduce this behavior, a short screen recording which captures it in action would be greatly appreciated. You can upload it to a cloud service and share the link if you're unable to attach it here in your reply - just make sure it's accessible by anyone with the link.

 

If you haven't already, give the steps @Lyubka mentioned in her post above a try to see if that does the trick for you. I'd also recommend logging in to your account on another device (your mobile phone for example) and checking if the same behavior occurs there.
