New song doesn't start until app is "Open"

Does anyone else have the problem with the app where the next song doesn't start playing until you open up the app on your phone again? This is super frustrating! Help!

This happens to me as well. I have a Samsung S7.

Android version 6.0.1
Spotify version 8.1.0.785
