No Bass / Bad equalizer when listening in car

Solved!

No Bass / Bad equalizer when listening in car

So I have a thing that connects to the cassete in my 2001 audi's stock sound deck. I have a Galaxy s5. I can play sounds on youtube using my phone and the car's speakers, this sounds great, I can hear all of the base and different subtle layers of the song. Now, if I play the same song through Spotify on the phone, it sounds like the bass is turned down to 0 and I can barely hear other less obvious parts of the song.

Is this something that anyone else has had problems with, is there any way to fix it?

Have you checked the equalizer in the Spotify settings?

Hi there and welcome to the Spotify Community,

As earlier mentioned, please check your equalizer settings for Spotify.

Here's a guide how to do that:

  1. Open the Spotify app
  2. Go to settings
  3. Press Playback
  4. Press Equalizer
  5. Choose Bass Booster

By doing this, your problem should be solved.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Kind regards,
Felix

Thanks, I had no idea there was an equalizer in the mobile version. I knew there wasn't one on the desktop version and that is what I use most.

I got to the equalizer, but the bass booster is at max, and greyed out so I can't adjust it. Its waaaaaaaay to loud in my car.

I have also problem with Skoda Yeti premium bluetooth, stock navigaton with subwoofer.

Playing songs and after about 20-30minutes the bass is going to low or almost off.

Spotify EQ and normalize volume settings is OFF

With windows phone 10, it worked well.
