No option to select SD card as storage destination

Hey there,

I'm using Spotify on a Galaxy S7. I uninstalled Spotify a few minutes ago and promptly reinstalled it, so it's the latest version. I've been trying to find the "storage" option in the settings menu so I can store my music on my sd card, but the storage option just is not there. I've enabled the storage permissions for Spotify in the device settings, so I honestly have no idea why it isn't showing up.

Does your SD card appear under portable storage or device storage in settings/storage? If the latter then you formatted the card as internal storage. More info here.

I have the identical problem, on a Galaxy S5.  There is NO storage device to select.  I have a fully formatted and usable 32GB Sd card with 20GB avaiable and perfectly set up on the device.  The help section says do this.  But there is NO STORAGE OPTION.

Which android and spotify versions are you running?

Also having the same issue. Thought it was my old sd card so i purchased a new. Still no option. Reset my phone to factory settings. Now running latest android update and spotify on galaxy s7. Yes card shows up fine in storage options.

Hey @Moran2110 try reformatting the SD card in your phone then restart your S7 and see if the SD card option appears in spotify settings.

My S5 is on Android 6.0.1.   Spotify removed, phone turned off, battery pulled, reinstalled Spotify, then I got the option to Select SD card as storage destination.  Phone saying that Spotify is using ~5.x GB. Holy **bleep**!   That's insane.

In the latest version 8.0 also storage option is gone! I had to install an older version and got the storage version again. Also my downloaded playlists kept dissappearing with v 8.0
