My Question or Issue

I have the very same issue now with my Android as this person had on their iPhone:
https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Bug-iOS-iPhone-now-playing-bar-hides-playlist-items...

Apparently it was a quick fix? 🙂

The annoyance started with the latest update.

Thank you so much!

Hello @Nocturni
Nice to hear from you.

I've also experienced issues with the now playing bar not appearing and in my case,it was due to too much app cache and a low storage space.

So yes, I think and hope basic troubleshooting steps will do

  • Try cleaning the app cache and making sure your device has about 2GB of free memory.
  • Log out of your account and back in.
  • Restart your device

(Some users also reported issues that were caused by use of VPNs, just in case)

If none of that works, you can get back to me with a screenshot of the display you're mentioning and we'll see what to do.

Thanks for reaching out 🎧🖤

I'm having the same issue, and none of the proposed fixes works! Cache cleared, device logged out of, device restarted, all multiple times. Nothing. My Android phone still has the play bar hiding the bottom playlists in a folder!

Hey @BrainBlow,

Thanks for bringing this up and sharing the troubleshooting steps already tried.

Could you try performing a clean reinstall of the app? This way we can be sure you're using a fresh installation of the app. Here is how to do one.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, we'd like you to try reproducing it on another phone. How did that go?

If it's still the same, could you send us the exact brand/model and operating system of your device together with some screenshots of the issue?

You mentioned this behavior is observable in playlist folders. Is it the same outside of the folders in the main playlist list?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!
