Offline Playlist after flashing rom

Offline Playlist after flashing rom

So, I flash new roms almost every week which requires me to wipe data.  With any other application this isn't an issue since I can use backup apps that will restore everything perfectly fine for me, but Spotify is the exception.

Everytime I flash a new rom and restore spotify, it seems to restore settings to default and logs me out. My offline playlist (which can still be seen on my device if I explore it) are not recognized with Spotify. The problem is, every week I have to redownload my favorite playlist which is usually 2-3gb.

Is there a way for spotify to remember offline playlist and keep them stored even after flashing roms? I have tried copying the files before flashing, and pasting after flashing but that doesn't do anything. I still need to redownload everything.

I don't think so - this probably has something to do with the DRM

I have the same problem.

I haven't tried this solution yet, but wanted to post it just in case:

Yep, sounds like DRM. If you flash a new ROM and that changes your device id (which seems likely) then for all intents and purposes you're a new user. It's effectively the same principle as copying your Spotify cache to a different device and trying to play ti there.

That was me actually lol.  Yeah so I figured out how to transfer downloaded playlist after flashing a rom. Basically when you flash a rom you're device ID changes, and that messes up Spotify.

Titanium Backup has an option to restore you're previous device ID, which will also restore the saved playlist you had on Spotify.

I have Titanium Backup Pro, I'm not sure if it makes a difference but it's useful. You also need to enable debugging.

Oh, well then nice find. I didn't actually look at the usernames. If I had, I would have figured it out.

I would have thought this would be a bigger problem for people, so I was surprised to find you were the only one with a solution.

Thanks.

could you please post a detailed procedure?

I think everyone who's messing with flashing, roms and wiping is facing this problem!

I tried to use an app "andoid id device" to change the id but when i backup from titanium there is no offline music! mah!
