PLAY intent doesn't work

Hi there,

I'm trying to start the play button with an intent with tasker.
The "NEXT" intent works fine but the "PLAY" intent doesn't work at all.

Action: com.spotify.mobile.android.ui.widget.PLAY
Package: com.spotify.music
Target: broadcast receiver

Android: 6.0.1
Spotify: 4.9.0.992

I can have a go once my phone is back up-and-running... just done a clean install of the ROM.

Can I ask why you aren't using the Tasker action:

Media > Media Control > Play (simulated only) with the App set as 'Spotify'?

I didn't know there was a "play" action. Previous versions didn't have it.

The play action doesnt work when screen is off and spotify has been unused for a while

So, any idea why the PLAY intent does not work even though NEXT works great?

The play intent also just stopped working for me. I had it setup through tasker and working fine this past week. Today it doesn't work. Android 6.0 LG g4

Play doesn't work with screen off, not sure why. What I did to bypass this was set up a task to unlock my phone -> turn the screen on -> launch Spotify -> play -> turn off screen. I used the secure settings plug in to be able to unlock the phone.

I found on my phone the Play intent wouldn't work if Spotify was still loading.  Adding Task->Wait for 8 seconds after the Launch App command gave Spotify a chance to load and get ready before the Play command gets sent.
