When I search for a song, it doesn't let me play it, but it tells me that if I want to add it to a playlist, what can I do?

Regarding your question, on-demand mobile access is available only for Premium users. That means you can't choose a song and play it but you can add it to a playlist and play it on shuffle. 

However, on-demand playing is available on selected playlists for Free users as well, there will be no shuffle symbol next to the title of the playlist. That means, you can choose a song you want to play and you have unlimited skips.

You can still play on-demand using a desktop, even without Premium Subscription.
