Podcast 'update date' is not accurate

Podcast 'update date' is not accurate

In the page:

Your Library -> Podcasts and shows  (sort by recently updated), the field of 'updated date' is not accurate, and therefore it's not sorted right.

 

For example - the last episode of a podcast date is actually today but it says updated 2 years ago and therefore it's the last one on the list.

Same here , almost all the dates are wrong...

For example "affaires sensibles" shows updated 29 July , although there are plenty of them from 29 July and today...

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community. Let's take a closer look into this together.

 

We tried this from our end and wasn't able to replicate the same behavior. Can you let us know if this occurs on a specific podcast or multiple podcasts? Also, can you share the URI of a podcast this occurs on so that we can have a closer look directly from our end?
 

On another note, can you make sure that you're running the latest version of the app?

It has been like that for a couple of weeks , although I did all the updates until now (It is the latest version) 

I’ve already performed a clean install , All the podcasts were up to date but after a while it was broken again.

Also the « New episodes » is also wrong , sometimes it says « updated 2 days ago » , then a bit later « updated one hour ago » then « 2 weeks ago » , even if the last update just happened.

Could you folks also share the following info:

  • Your device's make, model and OS version.
  • The version of Spotify you're running.

It's worth restarting the app (or your device) to see if the Last Updated date to will refresh and show the correct one.

iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS 16 beta 8 (but it had the same behaviour on official iOS 15.6.1 )

Spotify version 8.7.60.434

 

Just had a new Spotify update 8.7.62.409 , nothing new , date are still bad.

For exemple there is a new episode of « C dans l’air » every day , but it shows last updated 10 may 2022….

Is there an update on the issues described in this thread? I have been observing the same issues for a few weeks.

Nothing new , podcast is still broken , and the notifications for new podcasts are still very late , like several hours before Spotify tells me there is a new episode available....

It's been one month since the last app update so maybe they are working on a big update ( or maybe the reason is just that Apple rejected their app because of the audiobooks...)

Same issue here. “Updated” date is wrong, therefore sorting is wrong. Please fix Spotify!

This seems to be fixed for me , at least for most of my podcast , what's your experience ?

This is still an issue for me, too. Is this truly not resolved after almost two years?
