Hi!

Thanks for posting in the Community! We hope you don't mind us answering in English as this is the official language of the forum.

To be most accurate in our advices, a screenshot of this pop up message would've been very helpful in your original request here in the Community.  However, we can assume that you've seen a banner that explains that you've reached your maximum amount of 5 devices that can hold downloaded content for listening offline. You can read more about this limitation here.

The fastest solution here would be to start Spotify on a device which no longer needs the downloaded content and use the Remove all downloads button by going to Settings> Storage. Note that If you don't go online at least once every 30 days on a device that keeps downloads, it will also cause their automatic removal on that device.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

I recently migrated from an iPad mini 4 to a mini 6. For some reason, I had to erase everything and re-do the migration. Now the Mini 6 states I’ve reached the limit of devices (this didn’t happened the first time)… Any ideas?

Hi @ingballesteros!

If you have access to the old device, you can clear the app's cache and data from your device's settings - that would get rid of your old downloads so you can use your new device instead. In case you don't have it with you anymore, or you run into some issues, you can reach out to the folks over at Customer Support, who can help you out further with this, since they have the necessary tools.

Cheers!

I have a similar problem, I can't download anything on any device, and only one has the ability to do so, whether I try to log out of all accounts, change password and exit and log in again from the premium account.

It should be clarified that only two devices we use offline.

Hey @Alestriker2001,

Thanks for coming to the Community and for the troubleshooting you've done so far.

You can download as many as 10,000 songs on each of up to 5 different devices. Make sure you go online at least once every 30 days to keep your downloads.
It might be useful for you to take a look here for more detailed information about that.

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.

Cheers!

It does not work

Hey @wallacewillow,

Thanks for your reply in this thread.

Could you give us a little more details about what happens? Did you mean you reach the limit of devices in which you can download music to listen offline? If yes, as mentioned by @Elena above, keep in mind that you can download as many as 10,000 songs on each of up to 5 different devices.

You can remove your downloads by starting Spotify on a device which no longer needs the downloaded content. The steps to remove them may vary depending on the device (e. g. computer, mobile). You can read more about it in this article.

If perhaps you don't have access to the old devices in which you use to download content, you can also contact our Customer Support team, so they can help you to remove the offline devices from your account as well. You can find out how to contact them here.

We hope you found this helpful. Let us know if you need anything else.

Cheers!

You disabled the option to display devices that are not online. Now I can't remove it. Do I have to wait 30 days to use the downloads again?

Hey @JorgeTx2,

Thanks for posting here.

In case you've reached the download limit, then you can still start Spotify on a device which no longer needs the downloaded content and use the Remove all downloads button by going to Settings> Storage.

A device can keep offline content for a maximum of 30 days if you don't log on it, then all offline content will be removed automatically. If you believe there are devices that could have offline content but you don't seem to find them and do not wish to wait for those 30 days timeout, you can reach out to our Support team as @AlejaR suggested earlier.

We hope this clears things up. Take care!

I have the same message when trying to download my music. My problem is that I tried a lot of roms in my devices, so the spotify session stayed open in that rom but now that I'm in another I can't go back to close session and erase downloaded data. What can I do?

Hey @omarhazel,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

As @Kiril pointed out in the above comment, you can either wait 30 days for the offline device to get removed automatically or reach out to the folks over at Customer Support.

We hope this helps.
