Problems with 'unhiding' music

I hid a song by mistake and I can't hear it. I already clicked hide again to return it to normal and nothing happens.

Hi, unable to play various songs in my library because they are showing hidden and are greyed out! It's never happened before, I have tried the help aid of settings, enabling hidden songs and then tapping the hide icon but this has no affect. Help!!! I have a Samsung android phone.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome 🙂

For starters, It'd be really helpful if you share with us the make/model and OS of your device along with the Spotify version you have installed. Is this happening with songs by one specific artist or does it happen independently of the artist?

On another note, is this happening on a playlist made by you or does it happen on a playlist made by Spotify? By enabling hidden songs, did you mean you enabled the Show unplayable songs button? If yes, we'd like to make a small clarification. Some tracks on Spotify are marked hidden and grayed out when they're not available anymore. Therefore, by using that button on Spotify, you can see any unavailable content that perhaps you previously added to some playlist made by you.

In that case, we'd like you to know we’d love to have all the music, videos and podcasts in the world on Spotify, and we hope it will ever be! However, there’s content that’s not currently available (or its availability differs between countries). It all depends on permissions from rights holders.

Lastly, and that being said, it'd really help us if you send us screenshots of what you mentioned so we can better visualize this behavior.

On Android, there was a function to hide songs. I accidentally hidden a couple of songs from my playlist and now I can't unhide or listen to them anymore. I can't unhide them on desktop or web or any other platform

didnt work. the "unhide" button just doesent work. i have tried reinstalling the app, i have tried to find this button on my pc or xbox even goint into web player and nothing is there. i am using the latest version of ios and app. what am i supposed to do

I accidentally made a song hidden/restricted on my device (don’t even know how I did it) and now I am not able to listen to it and I don’t know how to unhide it or remove the restriction on it. When I tap on „allow to play this song“ or „Hidden“ nothing happens. 

I have already tried to Log out and back in, deleted and reinstalled the app and cleared the cache, but so far nothing has helped.

Hi there, I'm having the same issue. Some time ago I got tired of hearing the same songs on any playlist, so I decided hide them, now, i want to hear them again but I can't do it, I follow the steps provided (settings > Playback > Hide Unplayable Songs, toggle the button to the left. When I tried to show again, doesn't works. Spotify is updated and the songs are available on my area. Thanks for your Help!

Can you try liking the song and then unliking it? This should do the trick. You can also try this with another device, if possible.

In case the issue persists, please share the following information so we can take a closer look:

• Your device's make, model and OS version
• The version of Spotify you're running
• The troubleshooting you've done so far

When you say that it's not working, do you mean nothing happens when you click the unhide button?

Our tech folks have made some changes backstage, so this should now be fixed - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify. Could you confirm if everything looks good on your end now?

I know how can I unlock a hiden music in normal situation, but now if I click to hide again, nothing happen. I think I tried everything, and I can't find the solution.
