Put the song, band, etc info on my Pixel 3 XL lock screen?

My Question or Issue

 I just got a Pixel 3 XL and can't get the Spotify information on the lock screen, IE: the song, band, album, etc like it shows in the pull-down menu. I am on Android Pie and cannot find updated instructions on how to get it to display Spotify on the lock screen.

I looked through all the Spotify options in app and did not see anything relevant. I set Spotify to not be optimized in battery usage as well. Currently, my lock screen is set to hide all sensitive information but I do not see this as being sensitive. On the lock screen, it only shows just a small Spotify icon.

Edit: I figured out it won't show on the Ambient Display. That is what I was seeing. It does show on the lock screen. So I am confused on how to make this work now.

I ended up going to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Spotify > Notifications > On
