Random pausing on bluetooth

Solved!

Random pausing on bluetooth

My Question or Issue

Music keeps pausing when listening via bluetooth / Spotify Android app.

Restarting phone or reinstalling Spotify usually doesn't help and my phone isn't set to battery saving mode.

The android app is generally quite buggy (and has been for years), but this issue should really be treated with priority as it impacts the basic function of the app (i.e. playing music).

I noticed there is a moderator post from 2018 saying that the team is looking into this. However I assume this has never actually been fixed.

It would be great if it doesn't take another two years to fix the bug.

Appreciate your help and feedback!

Kind regards,

Samuel

Hi there @user-removed,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

We understand that you already tried reinstalling the app, but we recommend running a clean reinstall by following these specific steps. This is more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

Also, try unpairing and pairing your devices again.

If the issue persists, could you let us know the specific Bluetooth device you're having this issue with (headphones, speaker, etc.), or if it happens with any of them?

We'd also like to know if the same happens with a device other than your Android phone.

Keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout.
