Relocate downloaded songs

Relocate downloaded songs

Hello dear community,

I have a Samsung S5 Neo, Premium account.

I downloaded lots of songs, all of them on my phone memory.

Now i said that spotify should save them on the sd card. But spotify didn't relocate the songs I have already downloaded.

Has anyone an idea how to make this happen?

One idea I had is to clean the spotify folder on my phone and download all the songs again. But I fear that spotify might delete my playlists as well when I do this.

Anyone help?

Kind regards, Christoph.

Sorry to hear this! No worries, help’s here.

If your Android device has an external SD card, you can download Spotify music there instead of the internal memory.

Tip: Make sure your SD card has at least 1GB free space. The storage option only appears if your SD Card is available and accessible.

  1. Tap Your Library  in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings .
  3. Tap Storage.
  4. Select where you want to save your downloaded music.
  5. Tap OK. The transfer takes a few minutes depending on the size of your library. You can still listen to Spotify as normal during the transfer. Spotify restarts afterwards.

If your playlists get deleted, you can recover them following these steps: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/account_basics/can-i-recover-a-deleted-playlist/ 🙂

Let me know how you get on 😊
