Says i have no internet connection but i do!

Hi i have tried everything with my Samsung Galaxy S5,
Including install/uninstall several times, still i cannot play songs as it keeps saying no internet connection..
I am close to my router and signal is very strong plus everything else works with no problems!..is there an update i do not know about? Please help..thank you..

What does do you have? Is UPnP enabled and firewall set to allow Spotify through?

Also, are you able to connect on mobile data? If so, then it's obviously an issue with youryour router /isp

I have android version 5.0, latest update feb 18th...Sorry I do not know
what UPnP is? and I have free AVG but I do not have any
known firewalls just a virus scanner.

So when you're out and about and not connected to a wifi network you still cannot connect to Spotify. Also if connected to another wifi access point you cannot get onto Spotify?

I have not tried it away from my home yet, I just subscribed a few days ago...

Ok. Can you try it with another Internet connection so we can see if it's your connection or the phone.

Thank you Daniel, I called my internet provider and had them reset my router then I uninstalled and re-installed the app. And it now seems to be working fine.
