Shared playlists are not showing up in Spotify Kids?

Shared playlists are not showing up in Spotify Kids?

I went into the grown-up settings and shared two playlists I made for my kid, but they don't show up in his shared playlists, just a blank screen. My kid uses a Samsung Galaxy S10.

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

Could you please confirm that you've shared the playlist using the steps provided in this support article? If you haven't, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd recommend a clean reinstall of the Kids app. You can follow this guide, even though it was made for the standard app.

If this behavior persists, it'll help us a lot if you send us a couple of screenshots of what you're seeing in your kids' app, so we can take a closer look at it.

Keep us in the loop!

I am having the same problem. The shared playlisrts are not showing up in the Kids app, and YES I shared the playlist as directed in the Support article. I also uninstalled the app and reinstalled and signed in again. The shared playlists page is still BLANK.

Hey @nina820,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

To continue investigating this issue, would you mind checking if it happens with all playlists you want to share in the kids app or just with a specific one.

Also, could you check if the affected playlists contain any podcast episodes?

Lastly, include in your next response some screenshots or a video where we can see the mentioned behavior. In the case of a video, you can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to watch it).

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi

I had the same problem. Only some playlists showed up. I solved it by changing the playlist from Private to Public in my own app - not the kids app.

I can confirm. It’s the privacy setting. If the playlist is set to private it won’t show up in kids up. When I changed it to public it showed up. Kind of disappointing considering it’s intended to protect kids.

Hi, OscarDC or any Spotify team, any news on this topic, I have exactly the same issue: I shared private playlist with my kids and all was working well, then since ~last month the playlist are not visible in kids.

The only way I can see them is by putting them in public which is really not acceptable for child playlist.

Thanks
