Song starts loud when skipping tracks

My Question or Issue

I always have equalizer set, which makes the general volume lower. But whenever I skip a track, the next song starts painfully loud, and stays that way until the equalizer kicks in again.

Does anyone know why the equalizer resets briefly when I skip tracks? Is there a fix for this?
