Sound not working

I have a new Samsung Galaxy S7 and my volume is all the way up but I can't hear the music. I just played a video on YouTube to test it and it was fine but when I go back on my Spotify it's silent. It's getting frustrating now. Im not very phone savvy so can someone help me out with this.

Have you tried restarting your device? If that doesnt work you could try doing a full reset (dont worry this isn't reseting any of your data or files in anyway) to do this with your device, hold the power and the volume down buttons for 7-10 seconds, this should force restart the device.

If that doesn't work, try clearing the data on spotify. To do this go to settings >  applications > manage applications > spotify, then click 'clear data.'
