Spotify Connect works with spotiamp only?

I can only use spotify connect feature with spotiamp release (0.2) on my laptop . Not able to connect to spotify desktop app though. Any solution? Thanks.

Spotify Connect hasn't been added to the desktop client yet. Developers are working hard to get it on there as soon as they can! 🙂

Hi thanks, I understand that 'connect' isn't out for desktop yet but I meant to say that 'connect' for my android client recognizes spotiamp on desktop and plays beautifully 🙂 . How come it is not implemented for spotify desktop. Seems odd.

Ah! Spotify hasn't really said why it isn't available yet other than they are working on adding it.

I find that pretty bizarre myself, bearing in mind that spotiamp was developed by spotify. Maybe they're using it to test connect on desktop - it's certainly not a full implementation and one-way only so far.
