Spotify Premium not playing through headphones on Android phone

Description

Spotify not playing through phone including headphones.  I have cleared the data, removed the application, restarted the phone, reinstalled Spotify and no resolution to issue.

What are the steps you took to get to the error/issue?

1. First I opened Spotify

2. Then I selected a song from a playlist

3. The song advances as if it's playing

4. No sound

And I've tried removing/replacing my SD card with no luck

Having the same problem 😕  have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app, .  Not sure what else to do.   It says it's playing but no sound is coming out of the phone.  I have the HTC incredible.  It worked for a period of a couple of months and now, nothing.
