The Samsung Gear Fit 2 was released 2 weeks ago. All reviews said/showed that it would contain a native spotify app. I´m trying to find that app - but no luck!
Can it be that Spotify only releases it into the US samsung Galaxy apps store? I live in Europe and that might explain it. I wodner if anyone can confirm that this is the case!?
Solved! Go to Solution.
One more thing, do you have gearfit 2 ir gearfit 2 pro?
I understand the pro version will have offline feature.
Woohoo!
I just downloaded it. So glad it's finally arrived in New Zealand.
Will try logging in tonight when I have WiFi access
No harm uninstalling old version I guess.
Fit 2, Pro is not available yet.
Good for you. I have no offline access. Just streaming via WiFi or Remote.
Good news we finally got the app from the Galaxy Apps. 🙂
I didn't disconnect BT from my phone, but had to enable WiFi to be able to login. Offline is implemented quite nicely, good work Spotify developers! 🙂
It works but I cannot say it works fluently. I have a Bose Bluetooth sports plugs connected and I get a lot of stuttering. If I play offline or online, wifi enabled or disabled. all the same problem.
When using the built in media player no stutter at all.
Yes, got excited too early, stuttering is really bad, basically app is unusable, stuttering happens every 3-5 seconds 😞
Not sure if Fit 2 doesn't have enough processing power, hopefully devs can fix this.
I would hope it just needs an update as I can't see what the difference is between downloading my own tracks from my phone onto my gear fit & downloading through Spotify, unless it's to do with how they are compressed. There is enough space on the gear fit to hold a few tracks.
This happened to me too.
The cuts or pauses are too often.
Hopefully tech experts can fix this soon.
It works in Mexico too.
No need for Pro versión, current gear fit 2 can download Spotify and it works offline.
I didn't need to disconnect from BT, but you do need to connect to a WiFi to login with your Premium account. And then download your music and listen offline.
I have the same problem in Hungary. (However I am glad the offline feature appeared!)
ps.: same problem: the music lags, pauses in offline mode
You can log in to the app. Select Stream on WiFi in the Settings menu / Playback. You have to log in. Than you can download songs, playlists (premium features).
I got it! First, you need unistall the current version (0.2.1). After navigate to Essential App on Samsung App to find the New Version. Working 100%!!!
Do Anyone knows why the version in my phone shows 1.1.24 and the version in the Gear fit 2 shows 1.0?
Shouldn't both be the same version? or the phone is not updating the version in the Gera Fit 2?
Yes, the Stuttering is so often that gets really annoying.
Either the problem is on the App or in the Gera Fit 2. Hopfully they'll come with a solution in the near future.
