My Question or Issue

Hey,

Hope you're having a great day 🙂

I was hoping you could help me with my issue:

Before, I could play music, hop to Instagram an scroll down and click on a video to hear the sound of it, and when I would scroll further or stop the sound of the video Spotify would automatically play further. Now when I do the same, I can see the Spotify icon disapear in the notification bar and when I open Spotify again, it has to start up completely. This is very annoying.

It's not just Instagram, Snapchat, reddit etc. do the same.

I hope somebody can help me 🙂

Thanks in advance!

Hey @Joodd,

Thanks for reaching out. Welcome to the community!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that didn't do the trick, please try performing a quick clean reinstallation of the app by following these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of your Spotify app and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Let me know how it goes — I'll be here in case you need any further help 🙂
