Hi, hoping someone can help.
I recently uninstalled spotify during the most recent update a few days ago which caused login issues (myself included) with Sptofiy.
I've completely wiped all information/data of Spotify from my phone/sd card and uninstalled the app.
I've now reinstalled it, I'm able to get to the login screen, and login via facebook, at this point I'm told to wait whils it logs me in, 20 seconds go by and then the loading ring symbol stops moving and the screen goes black, I'm then taken back to my phone home screen - there is no acknowledment that the program has crashed either.
Upon relaunching Spotify the screen goes black and it takes me back to my home screen on my phone. reinstalling just repeats the process above, if I remove cache it doens't do anything, but if I remove all data then it at least allows me the choice of logging in again, but the end result is still the same. This leads me to believe that either my SD card is messed up or there is another area where data corrpution exists and I've not thought to look there.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks.
Did you reboot your device after removing the folders???

Hi - thanks for your reply. Yes I did reboot after each uninstallation.
I don't beleive it's linked to the Facebook app as I attempted to create a new login from scatch, outside of Facebook and the same issue occured. Attempted anyway, made no difference 😞
Hi, the power save was disabled.
Since your message I've attempted the following, all have failed:
Logging in as new user;
disabling facebook app;
select "sign up" and then log in via facebook this way;
Factory reset on my phone - and then install spotify without the micro SD card.
No idea what to do next, is there an older version I can try perhaps?
I recommend you contact Spotify Support using the form here.
You will get an automated reply at first, however if you need to chase them just reply to the email as it does get monitored.
