My Question or Issue:
I recently got a new phone, a Galaxy S9+, upgrading from my old Note 5 which ran Spotify flawlessly. Now however, Spotify frequently either fails to load at all, or when it does work it is very severely slow and stuttering. It may also be important to mention I have a 250gb SD card in the device.
By saying won't load, I mean that upon starting up Spotify, the home page is simply completely blank, and even opening menus that should be locally saved (downloaded playlists, settings, etc) yields an infinite loading screen until I restart the app sometimes up to 10 times. Downloaded and locally saved songs frequently pause and stutter, and there's a minute on average between me pressing a button and that button reacting.
I've verified I have plenty of RAM available (2+ gb available out of 6), this problem persists on WiFi and while on 4G, and I have logged out/deleted cache/reinstalled countless times.
Has anyone experienced this or have a solution? Spotify is probably my most used app and I'd really prefer to not have to unsubscribe.
UPDATE/SOLUTION: For anyone else experiencing peculiarities with Spotify, or any other apps on a Samsung S9+, see if you are running the app in full screen mode. Apps that aren't optimized to run in this mode, such as Spotify can break in weird ways. Check this by going to Settings->Display->Full Screen Apps, and deselect whatever app isn't working.
Hi folks, so ive had this problem for a few days now where my app will automatically shut itself down causing me to re open it then it will do it again after ten minutes or so, I've tried to uninstall app restart my device and reinstall it that worked for a while but it is doing the same thing, I have even reset my mobile to its factory settings but that's not helped either any suggestions?
Its probably a battery saving setting on your phone. If the app is using too much battery, your phone shuts it off by itself. You will need to disable this.

I'm in the uk using a Moto g android not sure what the system is. I'm on the premium plan.
2days ago I tried to access Spotify and there was just a black screen, nothing doing at all. I uninstalled then installed app but now I seem to be locked out. My family members on my plan are fine. When I tried to log in again it gave me a link to reset my password but it just comes up with an error message so I can't get anywhere at all. I was on the live chat twice, once I was cut off trying to use the test facility. The other the rep had me download Spotify on to another device and I managed to sign in no problems, so he advised I should do a clean on caches but that's not helped so it's really strange it seems it's my phone that is the issue. It's getting right on my nerves someone help please?

My Question or Issue
Please make my spotify-app open up again
Hey, thanks for reaching out.
I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here.
If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
I'll see what we can suggest!

My Question or Issue
Got a Nokia 5 around March, Spotify has been problematic in its load times, its functionality and its ability to play music. I usually have to load the app then 'stop application' in setting before it will actually load up. When it does load it takes forver to find artists, albums or recently played. In terms of actually playing music, I would say it takes a good 10 minutes from starting the app to actually playing music. This is on wi-fi as well as 4G. I have an SD card in the phone as I like to download music before I go out, however this compounds the issue and makes spotify run slower the more music I download. The more music I download (even if there is space on the phone for it) the slower spotify gets. However, even when i delete all the downloads from the app it still runs slowly. This is premium subscription that is currently almost pointless in owning. Considering switching streaming platforms and frequently end up using youtube instead.
Shame as when spotify works it's a great streaming service. Any help or solutions are appreciated.
Just got a Samsung Galaxy S9+ too and even with full service and high speed internet the songs don't auto play unless my phone is unlocked (sometimes) and nothing loads when I try to search. Also, I don't get the current playing song notification all the time. I've tried taking my phone on and off power saving mode and reboot but no luck. I'm pretty sure it's just a software compatabicomp issue since it's still a newer phone.
