Solved! Go to Solution.
This also happens to me, I have a Huawei Ascend G6 and this bug is killing the data amount if my plan.
me too. did you get any solution? or should I switch to AM?
Yeah this is really starting to **bleep** me off. Been doing it for months and Im constantly trying to find a solution but there doesnt appear to be one. Its an issue that many people are having and yet Spotify refuses to fix it. If this isnt fixed very soon, like you said, Spotify is going to lose my service, as well as others im sure.
Spotify is absolute rubbish.. ive downloaded 3 times to samsung phone.. each time i try play off line music is gone. Yes ive the switch to off line.. I wont be re newing my subscription
I get this issue too and don't have a solution.
Same here. Downloaded some albums, now most of the tracks are deleted. Happens again and again. I reset the app using the settings menu before i redownloaded everything, but it didn't help.
Xiaomi Mi Max, Android 6, latest beta version of Spotify.
So I updated the app this morning and guess what? All my songs got deleted (except for a couple of playlists).
Apart form that I keep having the same issue you are having, every single day (when i connect to wifi) the app starts to download some 10+ songs I've already downloaded before!
FFS Spotify fix this **bleep**!
So yesterday after I went home and connected to my wifi all the missing songs suddenly reappeared. I did not notice they were downloaded again, but it could be. Before, while on mobile data, it was one or a few songs of an album visible as downloaded (and playable), the rest was gone. Now I'm on mobile data again and in offline mode listening to the downloaded albums. Let's see if most of the songs will disappear again after a while.
If the spotify cache is stored on an SD card, unmounting the card will cause spotify to create a new cache in internal storage and it will no longer see the cache on the SD card when it is remounted. Not ideal but that's the way it seems to work.
Happening to me to. Has been happening for a while. Fed up with it
Same here.... I have 2 offline device (S7 and Tab S2) and every day I find a variable number (anything from 5 to 1500) of missing songs from my downloaded tracks... Sometimes missing from a single device, sometimes from both, sometimes different songs are missing between one device and the other. No repeatable logic, it just seems random.
The most ridiculous part of it is that is forum is now RIPE with threads signalling this issue but spotify seems to not give a **bleep** about it.
I'm honestly fed up with this stuff. Not going to renew my subscription if they don't fix it soon. After all there are viable alternatives, like google play music.
My entiere library has deleted 6 times now over the course of 1.5 months. I have worked through all of the solutions suggested by their "help" page, but to no avail. If spotify drops my library again, I am dropping them as a service.
I am genuinly surprised by the lack of quality in service.
