I could not understand why this topic is marked as "solved"? I know this problem very well since springtime when i started downloading (8.4.1.846 armV7). Every one or two week or so i had to download my offline content again. No reliability at all. 😞
Happened to me twice in the last month! And the first time I was on a night train with no wifi or signal at all... it was a long silent journey. I'm trying to find a solution in here, but it seems I am not the only one disappointed. Is there a way to contact Spotify to obtain technical support or something??
Same problem here. I'm using a MotoG3 with SD-card. First I thought the problem could be the external storage, then I tried to format it completely. Didn't work, as well as any other possible solution that I found in this forum. Anyway, I'm very pissed about it, because I'm having to redownload every album individually every time this problem appear. So, if this problem continue I'm probably going to migrate to Deezer or any equivalent platform. PLEASE FIX IT SPOTIFY!!

I'm "outdoor" now, only with expensive mobile data and won't spend time or money for tests.

thanks in advance!
I have the same problem. It keeps switiching the storage to device storage instead of sd card---without any type of warning! And the songs that i purchased on iTunes and transfered as local files aren't available until I connect to Spotify on my computer.
I need a solution--first time it's happened to me on my motorola g 2nd gen, but it's so inconvenient and frustrating that I'm thinking of switching already---this isn't worth $10/month.
I had an issue where spotify popped up a message that I had been using too many devices and was going to remove all my offline data. I was only using one other device, my laptop, so this should not have happened, but it did and just as I was boarding a longhaul flight where the in-flight entertainment system was busted, so not ideal timing! As soon as I got to a decent wifi connection all the songs were restored without issue, however for that period the songs were either removed from the device or were not available for playback.
i 've learned to be careful - but i think - that issue is fixed with
Version 8.4.11.1283 armV7.
This is one of at least 6 threads about the same problem of Spotify repeatedly deleting downloaded songs. If we all flooded Spotify Technical support at the same time with the same complaint, they might take notice and do something about it. I already contacted them and they gave their standard solution that they give everyone, which I tried and it was a waste of time and did not solve the problem, and then they closed the ticket as resolved.
Happend again! I'm sure it is related to bad mobile data signal. If it happens it is when I'm on throttled mobile data. So annoying.
It's just a chat bot. Not very helpful.
