Spotify on separate device interrupting

Spotify on separate device interrupting

I often use spotify to play music at my apartment. It's often playing in the background for my wife and I to enjoy or sometimes even for our dogs while I'm away. Occasionally I want to listen to a podcast on my phone but still leave spotify playing on another device. The problem I have is that every time Spotify changes songs on a different device, it stops whatever I'm listening to on my phone to pop up and say "Spotify has changed songs on X device."  This has become a huge nuisance, and is leading me to want to switch to an alternative music source. Is there any way to deactivate this on my phone so that it doesn't do this?

Edit: To clarify, I am only using spotify on one of the devices. My phone will be playing a completely differnet podcast app and Spotify will still interrupt that app to say that the song on the second device has changed.

Hey There!

Unfortunately there is no way to avoid this, Spotify can only play on one device at a time.

I understand that it can only play on one device at a time, that's not what I'm asking. If I am playing Spotify on one device, and I play a different audio program from another (like Podcast Addict on my phone), the spotify app on my phone that I am not currently using will still interrupt playback of the other program.
