My Question or Issue

I'm sure many have faced this issue but I'm not sure it has been fixed.

I've tried this on two different phones, and it happens on both of them, so it seems to be a Spotify issue with AA.
 
At times, when you plug your phone into the Android Auto head unit, audio playback will not start (or resume from previous playback.) It appears to "play", but no audio can be heard. Audio can be heard in other Android Auto functions, so it's not the phone or the head unit. The head unit audio main must be restarted to hear audio playback. Also, if navigation is ongoing in the background along with Spotify playback, Spotify audio stops from being heard after a navigation message has come and gone. Again, though audio shows up as playing, nothing is heard and Spotify doesn't just pause.

So navigation commands and audio from Spotify start and stop thereafter going hand in hand. Spotify should be fixing this AA related issue where they're supposed to pause and restart audio or reduce audio volume temporarily during a navigation command.
 
In addition to this, if music is playing and the phone is unplugged (as in, when getting out of the car) Spotify sometimes continues to play music and must be manually paused.

YT Music does not have any of those issues.

Also - can you let us know what version of Spotify you're having?
