Spotify plays but it tells me no internet connection

After i start Spotify on my Android I can start a track (Samsung Galaxy Note 4) and turn the screen off, when i go back to change a track or choose another playlist everything is dark gray and Spotify has not internet connection even though I have a full bar 4g connection and over wireless connection.

When on 4g music just stops when current track finishes playing. When on wireless it is continuous playback.

To correct i back out and close Spotify and restart. this happens to me around 10 times a day.

Very frustrating.

Is there a update i missed?

Should I try to reinstall?

What network operator are you using? T-Mobile US possibly???

I am using Verizon 4G - U.S.

Did you solve it? The same thing happens to me, it seems I get this since I enabled "restrict background data". So right now app is kind of unusable due to the issue with background data draining your quota.

No, Im still having the issue of loss of connection when on 4G only.
