Spotify premium very slow and even offline music skips

Hi,

I've been a spotify premium user for several years. I reguarly listen to music on my android phone (currently a samsung A3), both streaming and playing downloaded tracks offline.

I've never had many problems for for the past couple of weeks its been noticably slow. Music will skip, as if it was scratched CD. There does not seem to be any pattern as to when this occurs, but at some points it can be regularly every few seconds. This happens whether im listening to music online or offline.

The app also seems to react very slowly, for example - sometimes I will click play and it could be 10+ seconds before the music starts to play. Another example, when I open up my list of playlists, it can take several seconds for the list to populate and the screen to show.

The rest of my phone is functioning correctly and not slow.

I've tried disabling any settings that I think might be slowing it down, and I've tried restarting the phone.

Starting to get very annoyed with it now and about ready to give up using spotify!

Any ideas?

Hi there!

I've got a couple of ideas:

- Reinstall the app. Between the uninstall and reinstall restart the phone as well.

- Are you running on a reasonably fast internet connection? I've found when i'm on a slow connection the App can play up quite a bit, such as skipping songs.

- Is there any background processes or programs interfering with it?
