Spotify recognising my android phone as a tablet

This has been bugging me a lot, but the app has been detecting my phone as a tablet, I have a Huawei Nexus 6P

It annoys be because I travel to japan a lot and there is a limitation in japan where I only get 15 hours, I mostly listen songs on my phone but the app detects my phone as a tablet, as stated in this post

I cant get a premium account because I dont live in Japan

is there a way this can be fixed?

You can access https://spotify.com and go to your profile and edit and change the country where you live and done (you can do that when you get premium too).
