Spotify remote play

Having an issue in the following scenario.

- Spotify is playing on my desktop.

- My phone has Spotify installed and is allowing me to remotely skip songs as desired.

- I have a bluetooth headset connected to my phone.

If I recieve a notification either from a text message or app, Spotify will stop playing on my desktop and I cannot get it to resume playing on the desktop through the phone. I can avoid this by turning off bluetooth, but I'd rather just override this behavior.

You mean you are playing on the desktop via Spotify Connect?
