My Question or Issue

My playlists stop at the last second of the first song when my phone is connected via BT to JBL Clip 5.

The Next/Prev buttons are inactive, swipe also does not work. Uninstalling was done once, and it helped for one session only.

But other devices—cheap BT speakers, headphones, even the car —are okay and can play Spotify music continuously. JBL also plays all local files in any player continuously without these stops.

Funny that the advert plays without this bug and launches always after the first song.

Thanks for reaching out!

It's a peculiar issue and it looks like it might somehow be connected to the Playback -> Crossfade setting but it's odd that it doesn't occur on other Bluetooth devices. Could you try using a different main device like a laptop or another phone with your Clip 5 to see if the same behaviour would be reproducible?

I'd also try re-pairing the Clip 5 to the phone just in case 🙂

P.S. When you mention that the buttons are becoming inactive, it also makes me think that your issue may have something to do with this one we have under investigation here. The inactivity happens when you add a song to the queue and attempt to play it.
