Spotify stops when screen goes dark on Xiaomi redmi note 13 pro

Hi, Ive tried EVERYTHING. When my phones screen goes dark Spotify stops. But if I tap and screen wakes up for like 10 seconds the app plays again for that 10 seconds until it goes dark again

is the phone set to Battery Saver mode?

No not at all

Settings > Installed Apps > Spotify > Battery settings > Disable battery optimization

Thanks for posting this thread in the forum and welcome!

It's great that you've already made sure that battery optimization is off as suggested by @alexei_wu.

What I also recommend is to additionally check for any sleeping apps on your phone and that Spotify is not listed in them, as well as to clear the cache within Spotify as it can cause different performance issues if it's corrupted. You can follow the steps for a clean reinstall here.

If there's no difference, let us know when you noticed this behavior for the first time and if it was after something specific.
