Spotify won't show the song I'm playing

My Question or Issue

Hi,

So I have the problem that sometimes Spotify pauses my music or won't show the song that I'm playing. I know that this question has come up previously. However, the suggested solutions haven't helped me.

I've tried to reinstall the app several times but the problem still keeps coming back a while after reinstalling. I've also tried just logging in and out but that also doesn't help.

It doesn't say that the app needs updating, but I know that when some of my apps start glitching but it doesn't say that they need updating it's actually just because the update hasn't been released for android yet.

Could this be the case here? Otherwise what's the problem? It's so annoying!!

I have also been having this issue. The play bar won't show when I open the app, and sometimes the Spotify section on my notification screen on my phone won't work. It will only show the "play" button but can't click it or anything.

I have also been having the same problem, it started within the last 2 or 3 weeks and it's really annoying.

We appreciate the troubleshooting you've done so far, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use these steps for a clean reinstall? They are more thorough than a regular one. That way you can make sure the cache is not causing this issue.

If the issue persists, could you check if this happens on a different device? With this, we can check if it’s device-related or not.
