Syncing Spotify w/ Android is SOOOO slow

Currently trying to sync off-line playlists to my DroidX over WiFi.  It is taking FOREVER.  Does anyone know if there is a better way to sync playlists from Spotify to Android for off-line listening?  How about connecting the phone to PC via USB connection and transferring that way?  Any ideas or thoughts on what can be done to help improve this data transfer rate?

A little bit late but try in Settings - Developer Options - Stay Awake while you download the playlists. For me it's then ten times faster.

having same issues as well. and it doesnt matter what my connection speed is. i have tried on wifi tried on 3g. even on a 4g network downloading at 100mbs it took upto 10 minutes to download 30 songs. total joke. its as if spotify are limiting the download speeds to mobiles. yet. when am on the desktop a can sync 2500 songs to offline mode in less that 10 minutes :S
