Syncing offline music to external SD Card

I am using Samsung GT-S7580 powered by Android Jellybean. Since my internal phone storage is limited, I would like to save my offline music to external SD card storage. Is it possible to do that?

Thank you. I already followed those instruction but I still find the cache files in my internal storage and not the external SD Card. Do you think I should do factory reset on my phone?

With all due respect to those who have posted links to guides, they are either missing essential info' or over-complicated.

Spotify will NOT auto-detect and use the storage media with largest free memory (i.e. Sd card vs device memory).

You need to do some extra tasks to assure that Spotify will pick SD.

The steps are simple:

1.  Go to settings and disable (force stop) the spotify app.  Then click on the 'delete cache' option in the same app setting page.

2. Power the device off, and then back on.

3. Use a file manager app or connect your device to PC via USB to map to Internal Storage > Android > Data to double check that the  folder called com.spotify.music (may be called com.spotify.mobile.android.ui on some versions) has been deleted.

4. This next step is optional, but helps to ensure that Spotify will not consider the internal memory to be a viable storage : simply, bloat the internal memory with photos, films, whatever you have in the of big files. USB makes this easier and faster.  Bloat it until you have 1Gb or slightly less of internal memory remaining.

5. Reinstall the Spotify app and set streaming quality to 'Extreme'.

6. Now start streaming downloaded music.

Spotify will create a new com.spotify.music folder and cache in internal memory. However, this should only contain a couple of files.

To verify that the music files are downloading to SD, map the SD to find the Android > Data > com.spotify.music > cache folder to verify that there are folders created that have names such as 1A, 2C, 3B, etc. Those are the folders with music track files inside.

You can now delete the bloat files. Spotify will continue to use SD card for download.
