My Question or Issue

I just wanted to notify you that the character " ' " is not correctly displayed on the card of the playlists. See the image attached on the description of the playlist "chill interstellaire".

Hey @Allergikopesto,

Thanks for highlighting this!

I've gone ahead and forwarded your feedback to the relevant team at Spotify. While we're unable to provide a timeline for a fix at this time, it's recommended you always keep the app to date to ensure you're running the latest version.

The Community is always here if something else comes up.

My Question or Issue

I have a playlist with the Description starting with "You're". It is being displayed correctly when the playlist is viewed.

But when the Playlist is shown by Spotify on the Home Tab in the section "Your Playlists" the description changes the "You're" to "You're"
I have already contacted Spotify Support and they recommended me to also post this here.
Tested this on a spotify test account which spotify support provided but couldn't replicate the Issue, because the section of "Your Playlists" didn't appear in the home tab.

But I could replicate it on my iPad and after reinstalling it on my Google Pixel.

I'm assuming this is a text encoding issue on Spotifys end. And that the text isn't properly encoded or sanitized

Hey @JacobResch,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

I've made sure that this issue gets passed onto the right team at Spotify. 🙂 For now, you can use "You are" instead of "You're" as a workaround.

Hope this helps!

My Question or Issue

This is not a breaking issue, but i have noticed an issue with the Snackbar text when i add a song to one of my playlists, though its a very specific scenario and it seems to be happening on only songs that are added with the new + icon.

The scenario is:

1. Start listening to a playlist with the Smart Shuffle on. That playlist needs to have special characters on the name. In my case the name is "That's it".
2. When a new song that is not in the playlist starts playing, add it to playlist with the new + button.

3. Α Snackbar appears that contains the name of the playlist, but it seems that the text is still encoded as shown on the attached picture.

Since the app seems to be a ReactJS app on Electron, I assume there needs to be a decodeURI call before the text appears on the end user.

I hope this helps, and thank you for providing us with an awesome music application.

Cheers
